DreadnoughtThese logs are probably the first true fan fiction that I wrote. "Chakotay's Log" was at first, an attempt by me, to write male characters that weren't feminized. But it was also a way for me to study a character that I admire.
For the most part, I have written these logs, "in canon", meaning, that I'm not adding much to them. I try to internalize Chakotay. There will be a few instances where you'll see added parts. Two example that I can think of right off is "Persistance of Vision" and "Resistance".

Just so you are not lost, I only write scenes that Chakotay is involved with. This means that if there is a scene with Harry and B'Elanna in engineering and Chakotay is absent, he won't know what happened. Chakotay, in this realm, also has perfect recall.
Important note! (10-21-98): No, I'm not stopping Chakotay's logs, but due to how long it takes me to do them (anywhere from two to five hours per episode, depending how much Chakotay there is) I've decided to do Season Five as the episodes are aired and do the others as I have been. (I'm just finishing up season two and will beginning three very shortly) Just a public service announcement from me! Thanks for your support!)
